Front-end mailers

Well, seems that I could use a front-end mailer and get away with it... however, I have two questions: 1) Can I use another ARCMail front end mailer instead of the ones listed? I have a key for one called SGMail that isn't listed. 2) This gonna sound pretty dense, but how do I call GAP to be run from a front end? I did create the different node directories as in the manual, but I'm guessing I missed the part where it shows how I can call it from the command line?
