Gotcha... no big deal. Seems you did a fine job anyway with the extended GAP Net program. :) I am actually going to GAP because it supports QWK networking... something that a few of us fellow sysops have discoved is a quick and dirty way to do stuff. :) I do have a question for you: I am using OS/2 Warp 4 with Ray Gwinn's SIO/VMODEM. Unfortunately, VMODEM returns a connect string of "CONNECT 57600/ARQ/TEL" and GAP seems not to be recognizing it. GAP /is/ seeing the RING (I see "The modem is ringing"), but it's not picking up the line. Any suggestions? Other than that, I really like GAP... I never fully set it up before. Oh, I found a like-new copy of "BBS Construction Kit" for $6.44-gonna pick it up and see what I can scrounge out of that too. I originally bought that book in '94, but it got lost over the years. Thanks for any help you can provide... I did get GAP running nicely under W2K using COM/IP, but it's /SLOW/ on the screen redraws. I'm thinking I may put the board under '98 and see if that helps, but I need another computer before I can do that. :) --Sean P.S. Nice to see the author still cares about his BBS software after all of these years! |
